A Vacaville tribute to Heart and Led Zeppelin. Young talent crushing the classics.
Band overview
iHeartZep brings seven accomplished musicians together in a tribute to Heart and Led Zeppelin.
Fronting the band are vocalists Carly Rhoades and Emma Price, who both provide advanced vocal instruction in Vacaville and the Sacramento Valley. Their powerful vocals lead a celebration of two of rock’s most distinctive catalogs, backed by guitars, keyboards, bass, and drums.
The lineup includes several former members of the now-retired Skynnyn Lynnyrd band. With twenty years of tribute performance experience among its members, iHeartZep brings seasoned musicianship and a shared commitment to capturing the sound and spirit of the original bands.
From Barracuda and Magic Man to Immigrant Song and Kashmir, the repertoire celebrates the music that continues to connect lifelong fans and new listeners. Dedicated to keeping the spirit of rock ’n’ roll alive, iHeartZep brings that energy to a show built for theaters, festivals, clubs, and private events.
Seven musicians perform everything live, mixing Heart and Led Zeppelin songs throughout a show of approximately two hours. Timing and breaks vary with the set list created for each show. The repertoire includes 20 Heart songs and 14 Led Zeppelin songs.

On stage

01
Vocals & keys
With over a decade of performance experience, Carly Rhoades brings a powerful, gritty voice and a soulful, high-energy presence to the stage. Often recognized for her vocal similarity to Ann Wilson, Carly draws inspiration from the legendary sounds of Heart and Led Zeppelin. For her, music is more than a performance — it’s a way to connect, move people, and keep the fire of rock and roll alive. Through iHeartZep, she honors the music that continues to inspire generations, bringing every note to life with passion, power, and soul.

02
Vocals, keys & guitar
Growing up listening to rock, singer Emma Price has always had a deep love for music. At 9, she saw her first concert, Heart. She fell in love with the power of Ann Wilson’s voice. When she was a teenager, Led Zeppelin became her life. Since then, she has sung backup for the tribute band Skynnyn Lynnyrd, led her own original band Solaire, and opened for Sly and the Family Stone. She is currently a vocal teacher at School of Rock Vacaville.

03
Guitar & keys
David grew up in San Diego and got his first guitar, a cheap Flying V at 13, when KISS was his favorite band. He went on to jazz piano, world-music gigs, and long tenures with tribute bands including Heartless. He is known for rebuilding the signature sounds that make those songs feel authentic.

04
Guitar & vocals
A guitarist for hire since 1985, Gennaro spent eight years playing for dignitaries at New York’s Gracie Mansion and played on the Linda Perry tour. He has played with Les Paul, fronts Gennaro’s Wax Trio, and still teaches, plays memory-care rooms, and works Bay Area cover gigs.

05
Bass
Curt Posthuma started learning music in grammar school. He took up bass guitar in middle school and played in several bands throughout the years. He joined the Skynnyn Lynnyrd band in 2005 and spent 20 years touring with them. After the group retired in 2026, his focus has been on two main tribute projects, iHeartZep and Fair Warning, both with new members and veterans from the previous band. Curt has done multiple master classes through Rock ’n’ Roll Fantasy Camp, sharing the stage with a number of professional musicians and bands.

06
Drums
Raised in San Francisco, drummer Alan Rice began performing professionally in high school. He went on to study music at NYU, training with jazz legends Billy Hart and Lenny White, as well as members of the New York Philharmonic Orchestra. In New York, he performed in jazz clubs, theater productions, recording sessions, and much more. Now back in the Bay Area, he performs with Gennaro's Wax Trio, Eldon Brown Band, and many others.

07
Guitar
Jason Miller started on guitar at age 9, learning by ear through his teens by playing along with the blues, metal, punk, classic rock, and country songs he grew up listening to. In 2017 he joined Skynnyn Lynnyrd playing the parts of Allen Collins. These days he plays guitar with iHeartZep and the country rock band Honky Tonk Heathens.

Technical
23 mono channels. Plan for a stage approximately 24 feet wide by 14 feet deep. The band brings the instruments.
Stage directions are from the performers’ perspective, facing the audience: stage right is audience left, and stage left is audience right. Stage right holds the keys and guitar station: Moog, main keyboard, Axe-FX, and an acoustic guitar behind the keys. The bass amp and bass player are beside that station. A Yamaha MX synth sits between the bass player and the lead singers.
Drums are upstage center on a riser that is 7 by 7 feet at minimum, so the kit can be condensed. The kit is three rack toms, two floor toms, two crashes, and a ride. Confirm riser height and access with the venue. The band may bring two bass drums. Only one is mic’d and played, using a double pedal. Two lead vocal mics are downstage center. Stage left holds an acoustic guitar beside the drums, two guitar amps, and two guitar players. The guitarist closer to center has a vocal mic.
Monitors are seven wedges, one per person including the drummer. Each wedge is its own mix, set at soundcheck. No in-ear monitors. The band supplies keyboards, amps, and all instruments, including drums. The venue supplies the PA, microphones and stands, five DI boxes, monitor wedges and mixes, and other sound equipment.
Allow approximately one hour for load-in and setup, plus 45 minutes for soundcheck. Timing may vary by show; confirm the schedule and usable stage footprint during the advance. No dedicated sound engineer travels with the band; coordinate sound-engineer arrangements with the venue.
No special power requirements. Provide power drops near the keyboards and amps. Arrange hospitality through booking.
